The following terms and conditions apply to all artwork, graphic design services and products provided by The Design Goddess. All design and print work is carried out on the understanding that the client has agreed to these terms and conditions. Copyright is retained by The Design Goddess on all design work including images, text, ideas and illustrations unless specifically released in writing and after all costs are settled.  

Graphic design requires a certain level of focus and several consecutive hours of uninterrupted focus. In order to create a more efficient workflow and maximize our time, we’ve implemented dedicated “creative” and “client” hours.

Communication (emails prioritized) will be responded to during client hours whereas creative days will be dedicated to project completion. As such, we ask that you please expect a 24-48 hour response time.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday


We do NOT accept deposits or partial payments for services priced under R4000 ($300). Design work will not commence until FULL payment has been made.

All orders valued at more than R4000 require a non-refundable advance payment of 50% of the invoiced total before any work commences. The remaining 50% of the total will be due upon completion of the work, prior to release of final materials. Invoices not paid within 10 days from this point will be subject to an additional R300 levy every 10 days until full payment including the total levy amount is received.

All content provided by The Design Goddess remains the property of The Design Goddess until 100% of the funds have been received. Publication and/or release of work done by The Design Goddess may not take place until such a time. A deposit does not guarantee partial ownership of any designs, domains or websites. 

Payments can be made by cash, EFT or direct bank transfer. Direct bank transfers from all non-FNB/RMB clients must be paid to clear (paid instantly). Design work will not commence until funds have cleared into our account. Please note that an extra R100 fee is payable for payments made using cash deposit.  
Once payment has been made, there will be no reimbursement of funds.

Invoices that have not been paid in full within 1 months (30 days) will be considered null and void and we (The Design Goddess) reserve the right to discard any design materials created by The Design Goddess on the client’s behalf until full payment has been released and cleared into our account. This includes any and all unpaid monies due for services, including, but not limited to, design work, hosting, domain registration, search engine submission, design and maintenance, sub-contractors, printers, photographers etc. This, however, does not relieve the client of their obligation to pay the due amount. Clients whose accounts become null and void agree to pay The Design Goddess reasonable legal expenses and third party collection agency fees in the enforcement of these Terms and Conditions. 


All sales are final and no refunds will be issued once payment is made.

Cancellation of orders may be made by e-mail. The client will then be invoiced for all work completed over and above the non-refundable deposit. The balance of monies due must be paid within 30 days.

By supplying text, images and other data to The Design Goddess for inclusion in the customer’s business cards, flyers, pamphlets, website or other medium, the customer declares that it holds the appropriate copyright and/or trademark permissions. The ownership of such materials will remain with the customer, or rightful copyright or trademark owner. 

Any artwork, images, or text supplied and/or designed by The Design Goddess on behalf of the customer, will remain the property of The Design Goddess and/or our suppliers. 
By supplying images, text, or any other data to The Design Goddess, the customer grants The Design Goddess permission to use this material freely in the pursuit of the design. 

Should The Design Goddess or the customer supply an image, text, audio clip or any other file for use in a business cards, flyers, pamphlets, website, multimedia presentation, print item, exhibition, advertisement or any other medium believing it to be copyright and royalty free, which subsequently emerges to have such copyright or royalty usage limitations, the customer will agree to allow The Design Goddess to remove and/or replace the file on the site. 

The customer agrees to fully indemnify and hold The Design Goddess free from harm in any and all claims resulting from the customer in not having obtained all the required copyright, and/or any other necessary permissions 

The Design Goddess may use any Artwork/design for its own promotion and portfolio use. 
Copyright of all graphic design work is retained by The Design Goddess including copy, concepts, ideas, proofs and illustrations (unless specifically released in writing) until after all invoices have been settled. 
If multiple design concepts are submitted, only one concept is deemed to be given by The Design Goddess as fulfilling the contract. All other artwork designs remain the property of The Design Goddess, unless agreed in writing. We reserve the right to use and repurpose and such additional concepts that are not included under the fulfilment of this contract.  

The client agrees that changes required over and above the estimated work or required to be carried out after acceptance of the draft design will be liable to a separate charge. 

The client also agrees that The Design Goddess holds no responsibility for any amendments made by any third party, before or after a design is published. 


2 Complimentary revision rounds for each design.

In a case where the clients specifications and scope of design have been met and additional revisions are still required, the client will be charged a revision fee starting at R250 ($20) per revision.

This fee is subject to increase without notice.


To avoid any miscommunication, we request that you submit a basic concept or some idea of what you would like for your design to look like. Whilst we will never copy another design, inspiration images and links are highly appreciated.

We recommend using social media platforms like Pinterest to source inspiration.

Colour and design preferences will be collected at checkout.


Please ensure before booking a service that you have all the necessary information required.

Content must be submitted within 4 days from the date of payment. As we work on a “first come, first served” basis, If content is submitted any later than 4 days, the project may be subject to an additional delay. To avoid this, we recommend that you submit all media and information immediately after payment has been made.

Information: Text format only! Word documents, Google doc or plain text in email.


Please submit high quality content for the best results. No low quality or over filtered images and videos will be accepted.

Should stock images be required, they must be submitted by the client, who confirms ownership of the images & any necessary licenses.

All media is to be submitted via email in one of the below formats:

  • Images: PNG or JPG
  • Video: MP4, MOV, YouTube video link.
  • Audio: MP3 & MP4
  • Documents: PDF

We reserve the right to reject incorrectly formatted content.


Individual turnaround times are listed on our website.

  • Our average turn around time is 4-7 business days.
  • For websites and larger projects, we have a turnaround time of between 14-21 business days.
  • The turnaround time begins from the date on which ALL requested content (text and media) has been submitted.
  • Late submissions will result in an added delay of up to 5-14 working days depending on workload.
  • Business days exclude weekends and holidays.
  • The average turnaround time for revisions is 3-4 business days.

PLEASE NOTE: Our lead time does not indicate the amount of time it takes to work on a single project. We work with several different clients at any given time based on a “first come, first served” basis. Your website will be complete in the allocated lead time.


If you require your designs on a specific date, earlier than the specified lead time, a R500 ($40) rush fee is required upfront. Strict time restraints should always be communicated BEFORE we begin your project as rush orders are not always possible, depending on our schedule.


We work best with no interruptions and so we unfortunately must insist on an “updates when necessary” policy. You will NOT be periodically updated on the progress of your designs. You will instead receive a draft of your project within the specified lead time at which point you will be able to advise on any changes.

We appreciate your understanding and your trust that we will reach out if necessary.

or first time clients who wish to conduct a telephonic consultation, a booking via our website is mandatory. At which point, a R300 ($25) “*partially refundable” fee is required.

*Partially refundable in that the R300 fee will be deducted from any invoice that is issued as a result of the consultation


The client will be required to pay an annual domain renewal and website hosting fee for their domain 11-14 months after its initial purchase.

The payment can be made to The Design Goddess who will pay it on behalf of the client to the correct authorities. The client will be notified of the domain renewal one month prior to its expiration via an email which will be sent to the email address provided to us at the time of initial purchase. Failure to respond to our communications or make payment for the domain will result first in the suspension of the website and eventually, the termination of your website.

All backups will then be deleted from our servers and the domain will be put back up for sale by our hosting provider.

The Design Goddess offers limited hosting services through an out-sourced virtual server. We do not guarantee continuous service and will accept no liability for loss of service, whatever the cause.

The customer agrees to allow The Design Goddess to place a small credit on printed material exhibition displays, advertisements and/or a link to The Design Goddess’s own website on the customer’s website. This will usually be in the form of a small logo or line of text placed towards the bottom of the page. The customer also agrees to allow The Design Goddess to place websites and other designs, along with a link to the client’s site on The Design Goddess’s own website for demonstration purposes and to use any designs in its own publicity and portfolios. 

The Design Goddess will not include in its designs, any text, images or other data which it deems to be immoral, offensive, obscene or illegal.. The Design Goddess also reserves the right to refuse to include submitted material without giving reason. In the situation where any images and/or data that The Design Goddess does include in all good faith, and subsequently discovers is in contravention to such Terms and Conditions, the customer is obliged to allow us to remove the contravention without hindrance, or penalty. The Design Goddess is to be held in no way responsible for any such data being included.
